You had to mail in a coupon and cross your fingers. I only had two sets form when I was a kid. I busted up one for trading and TTMs. The other is in my binder. I wish I had more as that Gossage was a hot card. I'm glad you finally got one for yourself.Nick Vossbrinkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04162939001181537887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1709402326341729642.post-31170353541857466902019-05-17T13:09:07.486-07:002019-05-17T13:09:07.486-07:00If no one claims that Riles bunt, put it aside for...If no one claims that Riles bunt, put it aside for me. I can't speak for the Astros, Rangers, Mariners, Padres, and Dodgers team sets... but the A's and Giants team sets were definitely stadium giveaways. There were some years when that was the only game I'd attend at Candlestick or the Coliseum. Fans were given an envelope with 20 or 21 different cards of the 28 card set with 7 or 8 cards of the same player. The idea was to have fans interact with each other and trade in order to complete your set.
