We are talking high end 90's insert sets here, not just the base stuff that topps puts out. It makes me sick to think that people are doing this. At this point, I don't think the custom card makers are the ones to be pointing the fingers at; it is the people who are already intentionally creating counterfeits, and fooling the grading companies. Perhaps my thoughts on it would change if it weren't so prevalent already, but it is happening. Heck, people are already taking blah game used cards, and turning them into cards with eye-popping patches. 6,000,000 Cards and Counting...https://www.blogger.com/profile/09340852342853099338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1709402326341729642.post-12164139722045644142015-01-23T23:49:57.910-08:002015-01-23T23:49:57.910-08:00I follow the 6,000,000 Cards And Counting blog...t...I follow the 6,000,000 Cards And Counting blog...the guy has immense talent, but like you said, it's a bit too close for me to feel comfortable with, especially if I Was going to pay for it. Now, if he were making a card that didn't mirror another company's design (i.e. if his designs were unique), then I would probably be more comfortable with it. But for now, that's just way too close for comfort.
J. Regardless of whether they're doing it to any of my customs (and I couldn't find any after 10 minutes of searching), it bugs the crap out of me to think that someone is making money just by printing other people's images.

I hate to go the watermark route, but I have thought about working my blog's name into the design before... It's downright scary to see that there are customs ripped off and sold without the creator's consent.

What can be done? I don't know. I've considered throwing massive watermarks on all my scans, but I don't like the idea of that because it ruins my enjoyment of my collection or my creations. I'd like to see harsher penalties for those who abuse the secondary market for a quick buck.bamlindenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18144916743107134577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1709402326341729642.post-53364863964638182292015-01-22T18:57:41.476-08:002015-01-22T18:57:41.476-08:00I noticed quite a few counterfeit Bowman Originals...I noticed quite a few counterfeit Bowman Originals autos when that set came out in the mid 2000's.
