Let's trade! Generally speaking, I'm a player collector.. with most of my card collection being PCs of various guys I like, though I have been getting more into vintage setbuilding in recent years, plus have a few other active collecting projects.

Hundred Card Club - As explained in this post, these are like my "retired" PCs and I'm not really actively collecting these below guys anymore, and generally speaking I don't need any mainstream/flagship/common cards from them, but if you have something special, I'd likely be interested-- especially stuff like Christmas Cards [any card serial #'d 12/25], printing plates, autos, numbered parallels, short-print variations, rare inserts, etc. (Again, please don't send me base cards or common inserts of these below guys. Trying to minimize incoming dupes and cut down on time spent sorting. The "PC" links for these guys are mostly very outdated.)
Tony Gwynn
Reggie Jackson (PC)
Dave Winfield (WANTS: 2017 A&G mini)
Brian Giles (PC)
Roberto Alomar (please don't send me any Padres cards; I really only want later-career cards)

Mike Piazza (PC)
Frank Thomas
Adrian Gonzalez

Jake Peavy

Ken Griffey, Jr (PC)

Gaylord Perry

Ken Caminiti (I still want non-junk Caminiti cards)
Matt Kemp (PC) (don't really need anymore Kemp cards)
Giancarlo Stanton (PC)
Paul Goldschmidt (Goldschmidt parallels and hits are still much appreciated)
Alex Rodriguez (PC)
Khalil Greene
Ryan Klesko
Steve Finley
Mickey Mantle
(definitely still interested in any hits or #'d cards, as well as vintage needs)
Roberto Clemente (definitely still interested in any hits or #'d cards, as well as vintage needs)
Paul Molitor (PC)
Wil Myers (PC) (Please, I beg you: no more Wil Myers cards unless hits or #'d)
Gavin Floyd (PC) (...same with Gavin Floyd; don't need more base, thanks)

GUYS FROM GRANITE  - I collect any baseball players who (like myself) went to Granite Hills High School, including but not limited to: John Barnes (PC), Casey Craig (PC), Tom Fordham (PC), Brian Humphries (PC/p2), Chris Jones (white guy from the 80s) (PC), Johnny Omahen (PC), Mike Reinbach (PC - Oh, anybody reading this in Japan, there are a bunch of Mike Reinbach Calbee cards [ カルビー ラインバック ] on auction.yahoo.co.jp I'd love to get!) Scott Shoemaker (PC), Shane Spencer (PC), and Travis Taijeron (PC). 2016 draftees Andrew Brown (Phillies) and Trenton Brooks (Indians). 2017 draftees Jayson Rose (Brewers) and Sean Ross (Blue Jays; didn't sign). 2018 draftee Jordan Verdon (Tigers).

I really like  Christmas Cards , which is what I call any card that's serial #'d 12/25. And also Christmas Eve Cards, #'d 12/24.

I'm a sucker for any  glow-in-the-dar cards. I want them all, even if I already have them.

I will also always be happy to receive any 1993 Topps  Black Gol inserts in trade.

I've got a project dubbed "Marquis Mania" - trying to collect 1000 copies of Marquis Grissom 1990 Upper Deck #9. I think I'm pretty close.

I collect cards of anybody named Gavin. That said, I already have most of Gavin Floyd's common cards, and most base cards of recent baseball players named Gavin. So I'm mainly looking for obscure stuff and parallels or hits.

Cards featuring a thumbs-up photo.

Misprinted blurry/trippy-looking cards for my "Bender Binder" project. Like where the register is off. (These are usually vintage cards [lates 60s / early 70s especially] since printing technology has improved with modern cards.)

I'm working on a "We Didn't Start The Fire" Binder matching up cards to lyrics of that classic song.

I'm a diehard Padres fan, born and raised in San Diego County... BUT,, I'm not a team collector. I have no interest in trying to collect every Padres card ever. So, generally speaking, I don't want you to dump your unwanted Padres commons on me. Chances are I either already got 'em or don't want 'em, and will have to just find someone else to dump them on. Exceptions here include current Padres top prospects (link!). So like Padres prospect cards (Bowman, Pro Debut, Heritage Minors, etc) from the past couple years would be cool. I mean, if you send me a big-ass box of Padres cards, I'm sure I'll find several keepers in there, but still I don't like to encourage traders to consider me a dumping ground for Padres.

And on the topic of stuff I don't want, please note that for space/storage reasons, I try to keep my collection cards-only. That means I generally don't have much interest in things like bobbleheads, figures, magazines, or large photos. I'll make exceptions for stuff of my top favorite players, but I'd prefer you check with me first before surprising me with any non-card item because honestly I may pass on it. Sorry, but I prefer sticking to cards!

I'd also want Padres hologram stickers from the early years of Upper Deck.

Also collect some old-timey guys with San Diego ties, such as Pete Coscarart (PC) and Gavvy Cravath.

Also openly gay professional athletes because truth and courage is awesome. It's 2018, everyone should be free to be themselves as long as they ain't hurtin nobody. Michael Sam, David Denson, Glenn Burke, Billy Bean, Sean Conroy, Dale Scott, Jason Collins, Derrick Gordon, Conner Mertens, Robbie Rogers, etc.

Shot in the dark, but I listed out some big White Whales of mine in this post.

Other general stuff that could catch my eye: hot rookies/prospects (whoever's hyped up with collectors at the moment.. Acuña, Ohtani, etc), certified autographs, interesting refractors and other crazy-looking cards, any colored Bowman Chrome refractor parallels, Topps/Bowman Xfractors (and similar stuff like that), out-of-the-ordinary relic cards (stuff besides jersey swatches or bat chips), vintage (older the better, any sport/subject)

I also collect cards of pretty girls. I know that's subjective, but yeah, feel free to spice up a mailing to me with any lovely ladies on cardboard. WWE, Benchwarmer, olympic cards, etc etc etc.

Ten Most Wanted Tough Autographs:
As mentioned, I (like most collectors) like autographs.. preferably pack-certified autos (and on-card, not sticker-auto). Here are a few guys in particular of whom I would love to add an auto to my collection someday:
Roberto Clemente, Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams (yeah, these first 3 are big dreams for me), Daisy Ridley, Mariano Rivera, Randy Johnson, Corey Seager, Cody Bellinger, Craig Biggio, and Aaron Judge. Those are my 10 auto wants at the moment, but again, autos of anybody-- especially guys in my above player collection lists-- would be sweet to get in a trade.

As far as other autos, while I'm cool with anything, I've recently been especially drawn to GREEN INK and RED INK autographs (and heck, orange, purple, gold, silver, whatever). Black and blue are kinda boring at this point, so any other colors definitely get my attention.

I mainly collect baseball, but some other sports too:

Patrick Mahomes II, Tommy Vardell, LaDainian Tomlinson (PC), Ricky Williams, Reggie Bush, William "Refrigerator" Perry, Walter Payton, Joe Namath, Dick Butkus, Larry Csonka, Robert Smith, Brian Sipe
(Note that I used to be a San Diego Chargers fan, but they are dead to me since moving to LA. Please don't send me any Chargers cards, besides maybe hits of their all-time greats.)

Tim Duncan, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Julius Erving, Dikembe Mutombo, Manute Bol, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Dirk Nowitzki, Bill Walton, T.J. Leaf, Bol Bol

Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Manon Rheaume, Jaromír Jágr

AJ Lee (PC), Sgt. Slaughter, Andre The Giant, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan

Paige VanZant, Ronda Rousey

Jimmie Johnson

Anything glow-in-the-dark. 80s toys such as Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Transformers, Ghostbusters, He-Man, M.A.S.K., Sectaurs, Army Ants, Rock Lords, Visionaries, Bionic Six, etc. I also love The Simpsons, The Goonies, MST3K, South Park, Rick & Morty, most older Adult Swim shows, Adventure Time, Archer, Game of Thrones.. cards/collectibles from any of those would be sweet. I might be interested in old comic books (older the better; any condition). I collect 1976 drummer boy quarters. I'm also a musician and am always looking to add more instruments and equipment. I might be interested in old Wii video games if you got any sitting around you'd like to swap for some cards.

Modern sets I'm trying to complete

2004 Topps Chrome  black refractors  (needs spreadsheet) - Would love to put together a black refractor parallel set of 2004 Chrome.

2011 Topps parallels - (needs spreadsheet) Trying to put together a frankenset of parallels from this set (Series 1, 2, Update.. heck, even Chrome).. cognac (liquorfractor), diamond, hope diamond, and whatnot. Preferably sparkly parallels, but whatever.

1987 Bohemian Hearth Bread - this is a yellow 22-card regional set of Padres. The set is not sequentially numbered, rather numbered by jersey number.
Needs: 11 Tim Flannery, 43 Dave Dravecky

2001 Topps Archives Reserve Future Rookie Reprints
Needs: 8 Jim Edmonds '93, 9 Bernie Williams '90, 10 Sammy Sosa '90
..I'm also interested in Archives Reserve autos or relics (2001 or 2002), including football. Gotta stress that I'm only interested in Archives Reserve, not regular Archives.

And for the grandaddy of my collecting goals:
2004 Topps Retired Signature Edition uncirculated certified autographs - I've completed the autograph set (mix of base and refractor), but now I'm trying for all refractor autos. See below.

(Just to clarify because sometimes people get confused: The colorful names above are not necessarily players I collect, rather a set I'm working on.)

That's about it.

Please note that due to ever-rising expense and hassle of USPS international shipping, I only trade/send within the US now. Sorry, Canadians and Europeans; nothing personal! I can possibly make an exception for a PWE trade and/or an amazing trade offer I can't refuse.. though I'll generally shy away. Sorry again.

As for my tradelist...
Just let me know of any teams/players/sets you're looking for and I'll see if I can scrounge up anything for you. Also, check the trade bait label on my blog for interesting cards I've posted about that may be available.
I've also been trying to to get more involved with the Trading Card Database and have some "For Trade" stuff listed there, with hopefully more to be added soon. Check me out at user defgav.

Please email me with any trade offers.
